[:fr]L’esprit de cette St Vincent ne sera pas occulté par un thème souvent fantaisiste et sans grand lien de parenté avec notre village et notre passion.
Mais, à Irancy, nous n’oublions pas nos origines millénaires, nos traditions particulières et notamment le parcours souvent ardu de nos ancêtres dans la première moitié du siècle dernier. Après avoir subit les méfaits du phylloxéra, la première guerre mondiale dévastatrice pour nos campagnes, ces femmes et ces hommes, la foi du métier de vigneron chevillée au corps, ont avec raison persévéré dans la culture de la vigne et la vinification de ce vin au caractère si particulier.
Cette génération décisive et déterminante pour tous les producteurs d’Irancy, à l’origine de notre viticulture contemporaine, mérite amplement d’être placée au centre de la scène et de la fête
En 1930 il y avait 65 vignerons à Irancy[:en]For this special occasion we wanted to stay true to the spirit of the village and its passion for wine making.

Often this passion and determination to carry on the long tradition and preservation of a wine with such a unique character meant enduring hardships and no more so than the wine makers of Irancy during the first decades of the 20th century. The devastation caused by the phyloxera epidemic late in the previous century and then the following outbreak of the first world war tested the faith of the men and women making wine in Irancy to the full.

For the Saint Vincent 2016 we pay hommage to the 65 wine makers of Irancy who were producing wines in the 1930's. This period and these people were a determining factor in the future of wine making in Irancy and laid the foundations for contemporary wine making today. It is therefore with merit that we pay hommage to the 65 men and women who produced wines in 1930.
